Digtal Design Work Examples (The Side Hustle)

IT jobs by far take up the majority of my current workload. However during these projects I am sometimes asked to assist with the production or preparation of digital design assets. I have done posters and menu design layouts for a couple of my hospitality clients in the past, but mostly, the design work shown below has been undertaken for private individuals, startups and my own business. It is essentially my side hustle.

Posters Design and Flyers

I have been undertaking jobs to supply posters, flyers and other promotional material for various restaurants, artists and artist collectives.

Website Design and Assistance

I am beginning to get more involved in undertaking website projects for my existing and new clients. This is more within creative clients sector than my hospitality clients.

Logo Design, Branding Projects

Over recent years I have also produced logo design and small branding projects for several of my clients.

Design Support and Training

I often give digital design support and training to fine artists working in more traditional mediums. This includes helping them by preparing digital assets for websites and print items. I also train them to understand digital file formats and resolution requirements for both their print and website projects.

Artwork Photography

As well as assisting artists to photograph their own work, I also undertake shoots to photograph work for them. This is often required when the colour accuracy of their digital and print reproductions needs to be carefully controlled. In these instances I assist them by employing digital SLR's and RAW file formats. Then using colour calibration tools and workflows to reproduce colour accurate images.
