I studied fine art at Falmouth School of Art and North East London Polytechnic in the early 1980's. During this time I also started working as a busboy and barmen at Bob Payton's seminal "Chicago Pizza Pie Factory". Following art school, and a brief stint at ballet school, I did ten years or so in hospitality management. Most of this period I worked on new store opening and concept development projects for industry entrepreneurs as well as larger companies like Hilton UK and Prima Pasta.
In the 90's I moved to working for a Hospitality technology company installing EPOS Systems and hotel Property Managements Systems. During this time I also developed my networking and cabling skills and got certified as an MCSE. In 2000 I Joined the Cafe Med Group as an 'in house' IT Manager. Then in 2005 I branched out as a freelance IT consultant, which I am still doing to the current day.
In my working life, I rely heavily on the experiences I have gained in these various 'hands on', multi-disciplinary roles over the last 30 years.
